How to Measure
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, keeping the tape horizontal. Allow a two-finger gap for a comfortable fit.
Shoulder
Measure straight across the back from the edge of one shoulder seam to the edge of the other.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline, typically around the belly button area, keeping the tape comfortably loose.
Sleeve Length
Measure from the top shoulder seam down to your wrist bone.
Men's Kurta & Sherwani Size Chart
Standard Indian sizing for ethnic wear is based on your exact chest measurement. For example, if your bare chest measures 38 inches, you should select Size 38. We automatically add the necessary loosening (usually 3-4 inches) to the garment for a comfortable fit.

Bottoms (Churidar & Pyjama)
Standard bottom wear provided with Kurta Sets and Sherwanis are designed as "Free Size" using a traditional drawstring (Nada) or elasticated waist. They comfortably accommodate waist sizes from 30 inches to 44 inches. The length is kept intentionally long to form the traditional gathers (churis) at the ankle.
Custom Tailoring
Since Tat Vivah specializes in premium wedding wear, many of our vendors offer a Custom Tailoring option. If your measurements do not align perfectly with standard sizing, simply select "Custom Size" on the product page and enter your exact body measurements. Our artisans will craft the garment specifically for your physique to ensure a flawless fit on your big day.
